God is a Farmer - Baptisn, Sowing Seed, Born Again

Baptism, Born Again, Sowing Seed

Find and thorough Baptist Teaching here:  http://www.true-identity-theft.org/restore55/index.php/foundations-class?start=7

Jesus characterized His crucifixion as a baptism - this is highly significant

Luke 12:50"But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

Mark 10:38  But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?"

After reading the baptism article on my site you will understand that yhere are many baptisms in the believers life but they all follow the pattern of "promotiom by execution".This is the same as sowing a seed in the ground and watching a whole new plant sprout and come to fruition.  The first life dies (the seedbreaks open and is gone) and a whole new life springs forth.

Baptisms have been practiced since the times of early patriarchs even before Moses' instructions came forth. It's a forever truth. This follows our present doctrine of being "born again" where we surrender our old sinful nature and recieve the forgiveness and new life connected with Jesus Christ. The old sin nature is gone like the disintegrated seed and we begin with the new life from that old seed (promotion by ececution) We can't go back because there is nothing to go back to. Can you find the corn seeds in a corn field full of growing corn stalks?

So sowing seed and baptisms are much the same and a fundamental process in the kingcom of God.

What happens when believers "fall away" and drop out of being a born again status?

Be [a]sober, be [b]vigilant; [c]because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
